Suarez was an active musician in the South Florida music community during the 90s before moving to LA, where he produced several albums and played with several bands while also composing movie trailer music for industry leader X-Ray Dog. Alterman also played in a band in his Virginia hometown, then published underground heavy metal fanzine Sloth from 1995-99. Most of 2008 was spent constructing the custom-designed studio in meticulous detail—from the grunt work to the aesthetics of bamboo floors and complementary colors. Similarly, Alterman and Suarez have always approached music with careful and critical ears—they instinctively have a knack for picking out what just works. And it’s this intangible factor which makes for studio magic and earns a great producer his reputation. |
